Lushington enjoys the distinction of being Singapore's
first and foremost rock, pop and jazz promoter.

Formed in 1990as an independent affiliate of the publicly held HPL group of companies, Lushington pioneered the introduction of Singapore and S.E.Asia onto the major international touring map.

Lushington is a privately owned company of Mr. Ong Beng Seng, one of Asia’s foremost and innovative business leaders and headed by Englishman, Michael Roche.

Michael has recorded 25 years management experience in Asia, with 20 years of that with the HPL/Lushington Group. His work has taken him to over 60 countries worldwide since his graduation from The London College Of Fashion and incorporated 7 years in high-end fashion in London’s West End. At college he immediately took on roles such as College Social Secretary and Sabbatical College Union President, which brought him close to his other passion of Music. He has concentrated his career melding East meets West and blending businesses with his lifestyle, design, music, retail and hotel experience.

Lushington was established to promote Eric Clapton’s first Asian Tour and to date it has sold in excess of 1,150,000 tickets and seen a turnover of US$72 million+.

Today, both Lushington and the Asian concert scene are thriving. Lushington enjoys the distinction of being the country’s first & foremost rock, pop and jazz promoter, promoting the likes of Coldplay, Bob Dylan, Oasis, Simon & Garfunkel, Linkin Park, Sting, Santana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, Elton John, The Police, Green Day, Eagles, Rod Stewart and Johnny Cash to name but a few.

Outside of its headquarters in Singapore, Lushington has staged shows in Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Hong Kong, Manila and Taipei.

With its “street cred” well established, Lushington diversified into other musical formats, including European opera (Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras); Asian pop (Chage and Aska from Japan; Lata Mangeshkar from India); Vegas-style lounge music (Tony Bennett) and world music (Yanni).

Lushington has also introduced non-musical acts to Asia, ranging from dinner theatres with Peter Ustinov and Dame Edna to the non-stop action of the World Wrestling Federation.

In 2008 Lushington joined forces with one of its affiliate motor companies Komoco, to form Singapore GP Pte Ltd which hosted the world first Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.  The event broke records in many fields and realised 300,000 tickets sales and 100% sell out for all three days of the September race weekend.  It staged over 40 live acts, 80 performances at the event with performances on 10 separate stages.

The 2009 F1 event was again labeled as a huge success and established itself as one of the crown jewels in the F1 crown.
